THIS IS A STARTER KIT! It contains 1 Drinkwell LARGE pet fountain, 1 144oz reservoir, 1 filter, a 3 pack of Drinkwell replacement filters (that is 4 filters total) and the official Drinkwell cleaning brush kit!The Drinkwell Pet Fountain filters and aerates continuously moving water to keep it much fresher than standing bowl water. Treat your dog to fresher, better tasting water with the Drinkwell Fresh Water Fountain. The Drinkwell Big Dog Fountain was developed by a veterinarian specifically for animals who jump on counters or love to drink from the toilet bowl in search of fresh clean moving water. Electric pump circulates water and sends it through an activated carbon filter to eliminate impurities and contaminants for water that tastes cleaner and fresher. Dogs are known to enjoy drinking water that is flowing, so this will encourage them to drink more frequently. It's great for all pets, and especially beneficial for dogs who are experiencing bladder or urinary tract problems. Holds over 2 gallons and has a replaceable charcoal filter. Features big 5" bowl walls to keep water in the bowl and rubber feet to prevent sliding. Great for dogs over 50 lbs. All of our Products are Brand New - Not Manufacture Seconds or Refurbished. Being that we are an Internet Retailer many products will ship in "Plain Box" version, since a display box is not needed and adds the overall shipping cost, if you have questions about a certain product - please ask.

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Replacement Filters

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Replacement Filters Review

Our two cats and one dog protested if their dishes were not filled with water "fresh" enough for their tastes. The dog would refuse to drink out of his bowl and try less savory water sources and the cats would splash their water outside of the dish. Seriously, I have enough to do without constantly filling their water dishes to their particular freshness levels.

My solution was to get rid of the pets (bluffing) which made my husband get this water system. Now, I consider the "fresh" water problem for our pets solved. One cat plays with the water flow but water outside the bowl is minimum compared to the previous situation.

I am not sure what this "Platinum" version has over the regular one (larger water tank perhaps?) but it meets our requirements of keeping our pets satisfied with fresh water. The directions provided make it easy to set up and everything needed is included. Water gets poured into the reservoir tank in the back and you will need to buy replacement filters (just like regular water filter systems) for continued use. This system does need to be plugged into a wall outlet. There is a sound of constant water running and the sound becomes labored when the water tank is running low. We need to add water around 3 times per week but it will vary depending on your animals.

This system is great but not perfect. The sound of running water is loud. Perhaps the water spout did not have to be so high up and allow for enticing water play for my cats and the loud sound? The charcoal filter leaks easily and I find myself cleaning charcoal debris from the bowl more then I would like but overall, happy with the purchase. I love anything that makes my life easier and this certainly fits the bill!

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Filter 3-Pack

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Filter 3-Pack Review

Great design, quiet operation, and DOESN'T LEAK - at least not yet. Good design with the adjustable flow control.

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Filter 3-Pack Feature

• Designed, approved, and recommended by veterinarians
• Cleans the water with a new 3-layer filter
• Promotes urinary tract health for your pet
• Easy to set up

Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain Starter Set with Cleaning Kit and Filter 3-Pack Overview

The New Drinkwell Platinum improves on the widely-popular Original Drinkwell Pet Fountain, and adds many new features. Like the original, the circulating water attracts pets, encouraging them to drink more water, which in turn reduces the risk of diseases like urinary tract infections and kidney disease. It has a falling stream, like the original, but this design reduces "braiding", which in turn keeps the stream from splashing outside of the bowl while still providing the benefits of aeration. The new spout is 8" from the floor, providing easier access for those pets that want to drink straight from the stream. The new pre-filter keeps debris like hair and food particles from entering the chamber where the pump pushes water back up into the tower. This reduces cleaning maintenance, and wear and tear on the pump. The new 3-Layer Filter now removes impurities even better than the original. The new design is even more kind to sketchy cats - the new flow control will not startle them and the new pump is even quieter than the original - some would say nearly silent. The new design also incorporates a built-in reservoir putting the capacity at over 1 gallon, which makes refills less frequent, and giving owners with multiple or large pets relief from frequent refills. And, best of all, the entire unit (including the reservoir) is now dishwasher safe, so you don't have to worry about melting down parts when cleaning like the original version. The Drinkwell Fountain is designed, approved, and recommended by veterinarians, particularly for pets prone to urinary tract disorders. This fountain will save trips to the vet by giving your pet this innovative constant access to running water.
